Play-based Learning with Cat Sewell
On Tuesday the 6th of August, 1/2 enjoyed a visit from Cat Sewell- a play-based learning specialist. Students excitedly categorised toys and how they work, and used these to create fun and interactive aspects to a spoken story. Students then had time to make their own toy and game using various materials such as; wool, paper cups, sticks, sticky tape, paper and rice. Students came up with some fabulous ideas such as a rice shaker, hand puppet, played various games with wool and even super heroes made out of icy-pole sticks and tape! I think you’ll agree they had a great time!
