Let the games begin

During weeks 4-5 PNE students participated in the first Spud Games! Students selected a potato, created a ‘Spud-lete’ profile, selected a class country name, flag, mascot and chant to compete in whole class and area games. Students tried their luck in the Spud-sprint (rolling their potato down a ramp and measuring it’s distance), Spud-nastics (spinning it and timing it), Spud-diving (dropping it into a bucket of water and measuring the splash height) and spud-weight lifting (balancing blocks on top of their Spud-lete).

Students came up with the country name New V-land, created a flag which represented the house colours and our class letter ‘V’ and V-Man the mascot with a similar uniform! Students represented New V-land well in the 1/2 area Spud-sprint final, but unfortunately we were not victorious.
