PMP- Perceptual Motor Program

PMP- Perceptual Motor Program

Every Fridays for two sessions Foundation students are involved in PMP- Perceptual Motor Program.

This program aims to develop a child’s perceptions and understandings of themselves, install confidence, develop an awareness of space, balance and movement. It combines elements of physical education, dance, music and fitness.

Children work in small teams made up of all the Foundation classes, and rotate around various activities such as climbing a frame, bouncing on a trampoline, throwing and catching beanbags, balls etc, using skipping ropes, balance beams, crawling through tunnels and wooden shapes, using scooter boards and so on. As you will see from the pictures the children have a wonderful time!

If you would like to be a parent helper we welcome you, however you will need to obtain a Working With Children Check (forms can be collected from the office)- and require ID, a passport photo and a small fee. – Miss DV
